There was an uncontrollable frustration inside me after hearing “She is our boy”. Many direct and indirect levels are there behind that statement. A pride was there on the face when they said she is their boy. Wouldn't the same pride be if they said we raised her to be a good person? If it is only a person's point of view, it would not have become a regular hearing in society.
I tried to think many times why people are thinking like that. I took a deep breath and turned to reality, where she is called a boy who had been brought up free of her own, who had her own opinions. And when she rides a bike, she heard from somewhere in the back that they had raised her as a boy. I closed my ears tight and turned to me, there were a lot of questions too. How did she become 'he' when she did things her own? How can a man and a woman who does the same work paid differently? How can she be the only one discussed and criticized if she dressed to her liking? Is it because fewer people are coming forward and raising their voices?
It is at such times that it seems as if the year is moving backward for so long. How painful it is that a thoughtless society grows with us.
Nothing is written by anyone, let the thoughts rain on the dry mind as the rain relieves in the drought. In Arsha Bharata culture, the attitude that a woman should always be one step below the man must be eradicated. Everyone has an equal right to life and liberty. If you meant she is different from everyone else by saying her as him, accept her as her. Change is born there.
Why aren't you telling the boys that we raised you as a girl? What a strange thing. Beyond the sadness, there seems to be resentment at not understanding the contradiction behind such words. Parents who can bring up their daughters with all the freedom and accept her joys as well must come forward.
When one realizes their abilities and tries to flutter the wings, changes beyond thoughts are born. Mistakes need to be corrected for a time when everyone is treated equally. With each person who raises their voice, the hypocritical society will start to disappear. If she does what he does, she stays as she is. A long time has passed, and it's 2020 now, let it all be torn down, let the talents be recognized without distinction of gender, let her stay as her and him like him,
Let them raise their voice together where the thought blooms...
